We have for sale a simply stunning 9ct gold Blue John Double sided pendant. It has been beautifully hand crafted in Sheffield, England, and features a Hallmark from the Sheffield Assay Office. In a small hexagonal design, and set with a beautiful unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John on one side and Jet on the other. This pendant is available on its own or with an 18" or 20" strong 9ct yellow gold curb chain. Blue John stone is a rare, semiprecious mineral, fluorite, found at only one location in the world. This is at Treak Cliff Cavern which is at the western end of Hope Valley near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.

Jet is fossilised driftwood, discovered in Yorkshire in England, Northern Europe, Asia and North America. Jet is a spiritual gemstone and is considered to have abilities of protection and purification, with grounding energies. This is a great stone for emotional healing, having calming effects on people with anxiety and depression.
